DibaSar: "This painting shows the scene of torture that the victims of Genocide have experienced. I was told about such stories from my great grandmother when I was 4 years old. I have heard similar testimonies from other memme generation as well. These stories got engraved in my consciousness, this illustrates my imagination whenever I think of them.

I realized that canvas, "the CARNAGE" a tribute to all victims of barbarism and wars and genocides. I depicted women, children who struggle with every strength of their lives against the savagery inflicted by the enemy and evil forces: some fall, some die, some survive, some miraculous escape, I depict the miracles by the female figure right in the center of the canvas, the woman on a horse that symbolizes both the freedom, love, life and giving birth to the upcoming generations."

The unique composition of the paintings, linear, impactful sounds enhance the bitter sufferings. In 1915 Armenian children were witnessing how Turkish soldiers were cruelly murdering their parents and the only dream their parents had at the moment was to see their children saved. Aram Davtyan’s "The Orphaned Child" is the collective image of the Armenian children who went through the disasters. Their eyes lost the childish pure and innocent sparkle and gained sorrow and power instead.

Kaloust Guedel: "As an experimental artist throughout the years I have worked in various groups. "Levitation" is part of the Genocide group, of which I had no intention of creating to begin with. For me there are two primary approaches, that can be employed: one is to decide what to do and the other to do and then to figure out what has been created. This group came to life as a free exploration of the subconscious mind. After creating it, I realized, that it was a reference to the Armenian Genocide, which happened to be part of our individual psyche. Only lately I have come to realize, that for me the creation of the Genocide group was a necessary experience and served as a therapy to be able to move forward in life. All figures in "Levitation" are self portraits."
